In early 2012 we began looking for a CNC bender with increased capacity & capabilities. We wanted a machine that could handle higher tonnage work & at the same time still be efficient. We also needed a machine that enabled us to increase thru-put without increasing operator fatigue.
After getting in contact with Brian & having some back & forth we settled on a Starbend 1000 with a 20ft side loader included. Itec helped customize the unit to increase the cycle speed for small parts while still maintaining tonnage for larger OD parts. At the same time the machine tooling mounting was modified to be able to use most of our existing tooling – on a 2 stack machine instead of a single stack as we were used to.
Itec has done very well at technical support & getting us help when needed. Parts have not always been in stock, but they have done well at helping us source alternative options if the in stock parts do not meet our needs.
