The Challenge

ITEC used our best-fit-bender approach to align with UTM’s goals, sourcing an all-electric CNC tube bender configured for their exact application. We prioritized quick delivery, securing the machine, double-stack tooling for 5/8″ and 7/8″ half-hard copper, and a clean CAD-to-bend workflow from STEP files. We handled selection, procurement, installation, and hands-on training in about 3 to 4 weeks so UTM could achieve repeatable geometry at scale with minimal waste and minimal changeovers.

With the right machine and our applications support, UTM moved production off-site into plug-and-play kits that cut on-site labor and standardized quality across identical builds. The solution also supported their joint strategy, enabling half-hard copper with press-fit ACR fittings to reduce brazed connections without sacrificing speed, consistency, or field-ready reliability.
