Beginning in 2010, Custom Products of Litchfield was experiencing increasing demand for bending processes on light structural steel tubing in sizes ranging from ⅜” diameter to 3″ square. In order to accommodate greater design flexibility, advanced styling and improved productivity the project team determined that a stack bender with push assist was needed. After reviewing a multitude of potential manufacturers the field was narrowed to three prospects. Machine costs, simplicity of operation, machine dependability, service capability and bend repeatability were major considerations in the final decision to purchase the StarTech Starbend 800CN6.
The set-up assistance, operator and maintenance training and programming services provided by ITEC were (and are) exceptional. Tooling recommendations and bending solutions provided by ITEC have assisted in trouble-free introduction of new and complicated designs with the highest quality. The machine has shown flexibility which exceeds expectations. Bending multiple radi and transitioning smoothly between radii is relatively easy to program and is highly repeatable. In two years of operation we have not experienced a machine problem.
To conclude I would simply say that I believe our decision to purchase the Starbend yielded the best value possible.
