
As our Field Service Technician, you’ll travel across North America to set up and optimize our machines. Beyond ensuring the functionality of our equipment, you’ll also represent our brand, empowering our clients with knowledge and assurance about our products.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Install tube bending machinery.
- Train users on operating the machinery, its software, and related tools.
- Ensure machinery longevity and optimal performance.
- Address any mechanical or electrical concerns.
- Educate clients on machine safety and maintenance.
- Assist our technical team with remote operations and troubleshooting.
- Complete service reports and manage machinery documentation.
- Promote machine parts sales.
- Regularly engage with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Interpret technical drawings, both electrical and mechanical.
- with machinery manuals and parts guides.
- Understand technical specifics like I/O modules and servo amps within control boxes.
- Comprehend the interplay between the machine’s motors and feedback systems.
Requirements:
- Willingness to frequently travel, primarily within North America.
- A valid driver’s license and eligibility for company insurance and car rentals.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability for extended hours and weekend work when needed.
- Quiet workspace at home or nearby for remote tasks.
- Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 100 Mbps).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office, Adobe, email platforms, and our proprietary software.
- Approachable demeanor, emphasizing customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in engineering or related fields.
- 1-3 years of experience in roles involving large machinery, including servicing, installation, repair, or maintenance.
- Skill in diagnosing mechanical machine issues.
- Competence in electrical systems, hydraulics, EtherCAT, Ethernet, pneumatics, and electronics, along with the ability to read schematics.
Additional Role Information:
- Work pattern: Travel 3 weeks per month, Monday – Friday. 1 week at home to service customers remotely.
